David Wright of Delibo Wines, which imports from lesser-known German producers, dismantled memories of Liebfraumilch with a focused tasting across the Pfalz, Mosel and Rheingau. Dry Rieslings, a Pinot Gris, a seriously rated Sauvignon Blanc and two Pinot Noirs demonstrated the breadth of modern German winemaking, finishing with a richly sweet Sauvignon Blanc that drew warm approval.
